We cherish the individuality of the children in our care...

At Ballapousta preschool, we provide a stimulating, bright and cheerful environment that the children can explore and play, safe in the knowledge that our experienced team is there at every step of the way.
Our preschool meets the highest HSE standards and is a member of the IPPA. We follow both Siolta and Aistear, the The National Quality Frameworks for Early Childhood Education in Ireland.
We believe that this is the most holistic approach to education in the early years, and that our approach equips every child in our care with the key experiences for an easy transition into primary school.

Our goal is to create well rounded, happy little people who respect each other, the environment and enjoy learning through play. We have seen the very positive results from this approach, with our children going making a wonderful transition into school life. Our parents have noticed how their little ones have become more social and confident in themselves and their surroundings.

The children in our care are encouraged to play together and respect diversity and difference between individuals. We follow the Early Years Respecting Difference programme, which encourages the children to discuss and acknowledge the differences between themselves and others, helping them to express their feelings about those differences and helping them understand the meaning of acceptance and respect for others. We feel that this programme helps the children become at ease with a range of differences, easing their social experiences at primary school, and beyond.
